In today's lab, we learned how to figure out how much stuff is in a pile using ArcPro. We started by getting the data ready, which came from two places: the Wolfpaving Geodatabase and the Litchfield folder. These datasets gave us the info we needed to do the calculations accurately.

Once we had our data, we got to know some important tools in ArcPro. These tools help us do things like cutting out specific parts of the data or changing its size. They're like special functions that do different jobs to help us analyze the data better.

To calculate the pile's volume, we followed a step-by-step process. First, we made a shape to mark where the pile is. Then, we used a tool to cut out just the pile from the data. After that, another tool helped us find out how much stuff is in the pile by looking at its height. This gave us numbers we could use to understand how big the pile is.

Next, we looked at data from different dates to see if the pile changed over time. We made sure to keep everything consistent, like the way we measured things and the equipment we used. This helps us compare the data accurately and see any differences.

We also talked about some important things to consider when doing this kind of analysis. For example, we discussed what kinds of data we need and why using drones to gather data is helpful. We also learned about things that could mess up our calculations and how to avoid them.

Overall, this lab helped us understand how to use ArcPro to find out how much stuff is in a pile. By following these steps and using the right tools, we can make informed decisions in fields like mining and construction.
